Monika is an internationally trained psychotherapist and executive coach with over 25 years of experience in Systemic Therapy, Strategic Brief Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and somatic approaches. She studied and worked at the legendary Mental Research Institute (MRI) in Palo Alto, California with Paul Watzlawick and Richard Fisch, trained and worked with Steve de Shazer and Insoo Kim Berg, the founders of the approach in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is certified in Analytic-Somatic Therapy. Monika also worked closely with Heinz von Foerster, one of the great pioneers of cybernetics and systemic thinking, and co-authored the book Teil der Welt (Part of the World), published in German and English. As a former executive coach at Meta (Facebook) for eight years and founder of the School of Personal Growth at Google and People Manager Development as well as the Founder of the Center for Personal Growth, Monika specializes in working with executives, leaders, and internationally oriented clients. At Google, Monika was one of the founding team members of the Search Inside Yourself Course, a Mindfulness-based Emotional Intelligence Course for Leaders. Monika was recognized as among the top 5% world-wide in her field, bringing systemic appproaches into business. Monika maintains a private practice in California and Nevada, USA and in Düsseldorf/Haan. She also offers online sessions.
